BTL Education LD UK – Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

BTL Education LD UK recognises that modern slavery and human trafficking are serious crimes and gross violations of fundamental human rights. BTL Education LD UK does not tolerate, condone or engage in any form of modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, human trafficking, child labour or labour exploitation in any part of its business or activities.

Although BTL Education LD UK does not meet the statutory turnover threshold requiring a statement under section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, the organisation chooses to make this voluntary statement as a matter of good governance, transparency and ethical responsibility.

BTL Education LD UK:

  • Does not engage in, support or agree to any practice that involves forced, bonded or involuntary labour.

  • Expects all employees, contractors and suppliers to be treated with dignity and respect, and to work freely and voluntarily on fair terms.

  • Will not knowingly work with any individual, organisation or supplier that is involved in modern slavery or human trafficking.

To support this commitment, BTL Education LD UK will:

  • Include clear expectations on human rights and modern slavery in relevant internal policies and supplier or partner arrangements.

  • Take reasonable steps, proportionate to the size and nature of the organisation, to understand and assess the risk of modern slavery in its operations and key relationships.

  • Act promptly if any concerns are raised about potential modern slavery, including taking appropriate steps to investigate and, where necessary, to end relationships or report concerns to the relevant authorities.

BTL Education LD UK keeps this statement under review and may update it to reflect any changes in its activities, risk profile or relevant legal and good practice guidance.
